CALOW PARISH COUNCIL
CALOW IN LIGHTS Group
Would like to thank everyone for their help and support in lighting Calow for Christmas.
It’s been a big success and plans are already underway for next year.
Hedge planting on the Recreation Ground
In November despite the freezing, wet weather four hundred and twenty trees were planted to close the gap between the recreation ground and the farmer's field. This is to not only provide a boundary between the two lands, but also a wildlife corridor for birds and animals. The trees were all native species (alder, beech, birch, blackthorn, hawthorn etc.) and were kindly supplied, free of charge, by the Woodland Trust. A big thanks to all who helped with this project.
